Orders

We require three months' notice on wedding cakes, however we will accept short notice carkes subject to the availability of the date required.

Any cakes ordered from a picture or photo of a cake produced by another, can be produced as our interpretation of that cake and will not be the exact reproduction of the cake in the picture or photo.

Deposit

A non-refundable deposit of £100 is payable upon acceptance of quotation to secure booking. The remaining balance is due two weeks prior to the delivery date. 

Any changes to the cake may result in additional charges and no later than 14 business days prior to the date of delivery.

Failure in meeting the payment schedule may lead to the cancellation of the order and your cake will not be delivered.

Cancellations

If an order is cancelled before 14 business days of the delivery dates, then the balance of payment (estimated as 50% of the total cake cost) minus the relevant third party expenses incurred in relation to the finished product, for example include but limited to decorations and cake stands, will be waived.

If the order is cancelled within 14 days business days prior to the delivery date, then no refinds will be made.

Design

Non edible items may be sued as decoration in cakes and/or cupcakes. It is the client's responsibility to ensure that any non-edible items are removed prior to consumption.

All effort will be made by Sparkles Cake Company to ensure that the final product is mateched to the colour chosen as much as possible, however the company cannot guarantiee to match the exact colour/s and design chosen.

All consumbles is produced in a kitchen that may contain nuts or traces of nuts or nut oil. Sparkles Cake Company will not be held responsble for anyone suffering from nut allegies.

Complaints

Complaints are very rare and due to the amount of work put into each individual cake we take them very seriously. Any issues must be brought to our attention within 48 hours of collection or delivery to give fair opportunity to assess the nature of the complaint.

Both parties agree to not post any negative information about the other arising out of this Contract or Event on any online forum or website without providing advance written notice of the intended content thereof, and providing the other party with a prior opportunity to resolve any issues between the parties amicably.

Where the complaint is in regards to the quality of the cake, then the cake or remainder of the cake/tier, must be returned to us as soon as possible after cutting and within 48 hours of collection/delivery to ensure that we are able to fairly assess the nature of the complaint.

Please note, we can only deal with the client who placed the original order.

General Terms

All designs and intellectual property rights, remain the property of Carol James Cake Design.

We reserve the right to use images of your cake for any form of advertising, including web based promotions, brochures, galleries and competitions. It is advisable that you make a copy of all documentation received from Carol James Cake Design for your own benefit.
